Following a most successful Harvest Flower and Art Festival in November, St Bartholomew’s Church, Sutton-cum-Lound now looks forward to its big event of the year: the Christmas Tree Festival on Friday 13th to Sunday 15th December, from 11.00am to 3.00pm each day.
This event has grown year on year, with more local groups than ever taking part. This year, there will be about 18 Christmas trees decorated by the following groups for all to admire:

- Gardening Club
- Sutton Village Hall Committee
- Post Office

- Blue Bell Inn, Lound
- Lunch for Locals
- Primary School

- Pre-School
- Sutton Bell Ringers
- Women’s Institute
- Knit and Natter
- Church Memory Tree
- Lound Phoenix Club
- St Bartholomew’s Church
Entry is free, but there will be delicious cakes and drinks available to purchase, along with competitions and a large Christmas hamper to win.
On Saturday 14th December, a group of bell ringers will be ringing a peal between 11.00am and 2.00pm.
The event will conclude on Sunday afternoon with a small group of musicians playing traditional Christmas tunes.
The church hopes to welcome all to its final fundraising event of the year, helping to continue the improvements to its beautiful church.
