Lions Clubs International is the largest service club organisation in the world. It has 1.45 million members across 46,000 clubs, serving communities in 207 countries and geographical areas around the globe.
Since 1917, Lions Clubs have aided the blind and visually impaired, championed youth initiatives, and strengthened local communities through hands-on service and humanitarian projects.
Bramley and Wickersley Lions formed in 2011 to promote community and youth. 90% of the funds raised are allocated to local projects or individuals in need, with the remainder used for humanitarian projects further afield.
Any man or woman can join the Lions. For those interested in playing a greater role in their community, they are welcome to attend meetings at Bramley Social Club on the first or third Wednesday of the month at 7.15pm (please note there will be no meeting in December).
