The new season of music and theatre shows at Ordsall Parish Hall begins in October and runs through to May 2025.

This year, in addition to the regular lineup, there will be a privately arranged traditional country music show featuring the beloved local duo Jonny and Lynnette in February.

The season kicks off on Friday 11th October at 7.30pm with a performance by Celtic folk trio 54 North. This ‘Celtic Folk Fusion’ act combines folk, blues, and country music with the ethereal beauty of light vocal harmonies. More details will be provided next month.

On Friday 6th December at 6.00pm, Badapple Theatre Co will present a family show, Polaris The Snow Bear. This festival family treat promises to enchant audiences aged four and up.

In the new year, Jonny and Lynnette return for their eighth visit on Saturday 1st February. They will be followed on Saturday 15th March by An Evening with the 309s, featuring music from the 1940s and 1950s.

The programme concludes with the fourth Live & Local show on Friday 16th May, featuring Sonrisa – Very Much Alive!, an exciting rootsy acoustic trio influenced by Latin and world rhythms.

Tickets and further details for any of the shows are available by calling Peter and Shirley on 01777 706433 or Peter on 07951 253343, or by emailing thomas_peterf@hotmail.com.

As always, the shows are accompanied by a light meal and a licensed bar. The Christmas show will offer something special. Ordsall Parish Hall is located on Church Lane, Retford DN22 7TU.

In the coming months, improvements to the Hall are anticipated, thanks to a Levelling Up Decarbonisation grant from Bassetlaw District Council.
