Fresh from a very successful and enjoyable Spring Concert in March, North Notts Chamber Choir is ending this season of performances with a concert to be held away from its normal venue of the chapel at Worksop College.
On Saturday 8th June they are holding a Summer Serenade at St John’s Church, Church Lane, Carlton-in Lindrick. Members are already hard at work rehearsing the music they will be singing and looking forward to performing.
The audience will be taken on a brief tour of secular music including familiar folk songs arranged by John Rutter, jazz set by Bob Chilcott, some pop classics plus a mixture of other music styles, under the care of conductor Timothy Uglow and organist / pianist Annie Wilkins.
The concert, which starts at 6.00pm and lasts for approximately one hour, is free and open to all, although there will be a retiring collection to cover expenses.
