Nostalgia was very pleased to be asked to perform at Greenacres Care Home at the end of December at a very special birthday party.
It was the 104th birthday of Hilda Drake. Linda, her daughter, organised a party for Hilda and some of her friends and other residents in her wing. The catering staff made the most beautiful cake.
Matilda and everyone joined in singing happy birthday, followed by singing. Hilda requested songs by Vera Lynn and Doris Day and some good old Christmas songs. Everyone joined in with the singing and there were some dancers too.
Everyone enjoyed an amazing buffet lunch and Hilda said she’s looking forward to receiving a telegram from King Charles III next year to add to 100th birthday telegram which Queen Elizabeth II sent for Hilda’s 100th.
