Outside The Cave (OTC) in Edwinstowe is a community venue – indeed it is a Community Interest Company and we want everyone to feel welcome here whatever your age, gender or background.
We support lots of small businesses within the building and strongly believe in #CommunityNotCompetition as we are better together. By that, I mean wanting other small businesses to thrive as well as your own – maybe by helping to promote or share what they are doing or maybe to combine forces on a project. Building positive relationships between us is beneficial for us all.
The wellbeing sector is expanding with many people looking for more holistic solutions to their problems. There is room for all different practitioners and local businesses. Maybe the times that we offer don’t work or individuals can’t get a specific venue, so it’s good to have options available from other practitioners.
With the increase in anxiety and depression some venues are too big and too overwhelming to attempt to seek help. We hope that OTC is welcoming and friendly – whether you are coming for yoga, mindfulness, craft workshops, activities for children or to improve your green fingered techniques! Recently, we have been lucky to be able to welcome Gem from The Nightingales into the building delivering weekly sound baths, reiki and events connected to the New and Full Moon as well as co-delivering retreats with Sara.
We are proud to be a multi-use venue. We have also worked with other partners to provide activities or support, including local primary and secondary schools, Center Parcs, Inspire, NHS, Studio House Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation services.
We are better and stronger if we work together collaboratively rather than competing against each other; this is true on a more personal level too. Let’s share our skills and strengths.
