For further information, or to apply, visit www.tescocommunitygrants.co.uk.

Ollerton, Boughton and Edwinstowe all fall into the region that Tesco calls New Ollerton. The maximum you can apply for is £1,500 (do always apply for the maximum amount). Three grants are awarded at £1,500, £1,000 and £500. Vote in store with your blue tokens!

If you need any help please pop in to Tesco New Ollerton and speak to Kathy Lainsbury, your Community Champion.

Tesco helps in other ways in our local community. They were asked by Terry Bell if they could help families and carers of people with dementia to relax with crafts and music at the Lifespring Centre. Tesco donated £400.

Tesco has also donated £200 to Kings Mill Children’s Hospital after Neil and Sonia from new Ollerton had asked for a donation.

Lots of Easter eggs were also donated to schools and Scout groups.

In store there is a FareShare collection point where customers and colleagues can donate non-perishable items such as canned meats, peanut butter, jelly, soup, teabags, coffee and toiletries.

There is also a hedgehog charity collection point (at the back of checkout) where you can donate cat food, cat milk and small dog biscuits.

Also in store is a book stall where you can bring your used, clean books that you have read and donate them.

There was also recently a Mother’s Day colouring competition. The four winners were: first, Islam (aged 11), second, Penny Baugh (aged three), third, Henny Baugh (aged five), fourth, Daylan Glasgow (aged 10). Flowers and chocolates eggs were given as prizes.
