Grizzly Tales from the old Great North Road
Wednesday 27th October, 2.00pm to 3.00pm
Just a few tickets remain for Worksop Library’s heritage talk, ‘Footpads, Kings and Highwaymen’. The journey described by Ian Morgan covers just 34 miles following the old Great North Road through Nottinghamshire, and in that short distance you will see the scenes of horrific battles, the haunts of highwaymen, the sites of murder and much, much more. Get ready for a rollercoaster ride of horror and humour as the stories of this ancient highway unfold. Tickets for the talk are £3.00 and booking is highly advised (limited places).
Family History Group
The library is pleased to welcome back its Family History Group, which will meet on the second and last Thursday of each month at 4.00pm to 6.00pm. The group offers friendly guidance in helping you learn how to trace your own family tree. Go along and enjoy free access to all the library’s local studies resources, including Ancestry Library Edition and the British Newspaper Archive via the library’s computers. It is free to attend the group and no booking is required. Future dates are 28th October, 11th November and 25th November.
