Town Hall Live in Kirton in Lindsey

by | 30 September 2021 | Gainsborough, Music

Town Hall Live (THL) in Kirton have two concerts schedule for October. On Friday 8th they welcome Ross Wilson aka Blue Rose Code. Ross from Edinburgh writes straight from the heart and is the leader of the popular Scottish band Blue Rose Code. His songs address universal themes of love, loss, travel, and home, accepting the past and embracing the future in a deeply personal way. His music evokes a meeting of Van Morrison and a young John Martyn, with both men shipwrecked with a bunch of Motown records.
A solo performance from Ross brings out the beauty and lyrical content of Blue Rose Code’s songs. It is not simply music to listen to, but to engage to with an emotional transaction that will leave you richer for the experience. Support will come from THL favourite Danny Bradley, who earlier this year released his debut album ‘Small Talk Songs’ which shows off his superb guitar work and, of course, his unique voice.
On Friday 29th it is the long-awaited return of the Elles Bailey Band. Elles and the band play music that crosses boundaries, blending roots music with blues and soul. She was voted ‘Artist of the Year’ in both 2020 and 2021 by the UK Blues Federation. In 2020 she also won ‘Album of the Year’ for ‘The Road I Call Home’. Elles has the talent for crafting and seamlessly weaving blues and soul to give her music a contemporary edge. She has been busy over lockdown writing and recording her latest album that will be released in time for her upcoming UK tour.
Elles will be joined on the Town Hall stage by her stellar band that includes Joe Wilkins on lead guitar, Jonny Henderson on keyboards, Matthew Waer on bass and Matthew Jones on drums. Support will come from Demi Marriner. Demi’s personality, passion and emotion are contagious, it is impossible not to be captivated by her. Tickets for this concert are selling well and it is sure to be a sell-out. Get yours now to avoid disappointment.
Tickets for both concerts are priced at £14.00 and can be obtained from the Londis store in Kirton, from Brian on 01652 649230 or from www.wegottickets.com.
