A blooming marvelous display at Welbeck WI

It was blooms galore at the September Welbeck WI meeting, as the ladies turned their hands to flower arranging. Led by expert florist Julie Woodhams from Kiveton-based First 4 Flowers, the group saw a demonstration of how to compose an autumnal flower arrangement before trying it out for themselves. read more

Worksop Society of Artists will be hosting an evening demonstration at the Cricket Club Worksop on Tuesday 21st November from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. The artist for the evening is the well-known wildlife artist Vic Bearcroft, his medium pastels. Refreshments will be available in the interval, non-members will be most welcome. read more

On 13th September, the three Bassetlaw Rotary Clubs of Retford, Worksop and Worksop Dukeries joined together to raise money for the fight against polio. 142 members and guests attended a Charles Hanson Valuation Evening at Ye Olde Bell, Barnby Moor. read more
