Let your imagination run wild and create your own peg egg. This activity gives children the opportunity to choose any animal that can crack out of an Easter inspired egg, this focuses on improving hand skills such as cutting and drawing.

Pom Pom Bunnies
Wednesday 17th April, 11.00am – 12.00pm and 12.00pm – 1.00pm
Make your own pom pom bunny. Give your bunny the best fluffy pom pom outfit and finish it off with some bunny ears. This activity focuses on manipulative and cutting skills.

Upswing presents Once Upon A Pillow Fight
Saturday 6th April, 11.00am
It’s time for bed, but everyone is wide awake. In Once Upon Pillow Fight children and their adults tuck themselves into comfy beds — but while you settle in, two characters are not nearly ready to sleep, and their bedtime adventures soon descend into pillow-fighting chaos. Join Upswing for a wonderfully inventive mix of theatre, acrobatics and storytelling. Running time: 45 minutes (20 minutes performance followed by an interactive drawing session). This is suitable for children aged five and over. Booking is advised.
Tickets cost £3.00 for library members and £6.00 for non-library members

Sally and her husband, Michael, live on a farm near Newark which they have spent years developing into a haven for wildlife. Sally and Michael bought derelict Devon Farm in 1991 when they were both working full time, Sally as a therapy radiographer and Michael as a design engineer. read more

HMP Lindholme is close to Hatfield Woodhouse and Doncaster, a Category C training prison, with around 1,000 prisoners. The Independent Monitoring Board (IMB) perform vital roles for ministers and the public, providing an unbiased oversight of the prison. Members are unpaid but claim costs for travel and financial loss. read more

Try Sailing for free

Rotherham Sailing CLub

Rotherham Sailing Club are offering free ‘Try Sailing’ sessions with one of their RYA trained instructors. They are based at Harthill Reservoir, 10 minutes from Junction 30 or 31 of the M1, south east of Sheffield and convenient for North Notts and Derbyshire.

Interested? ‘Try Sailing’ sessions are held on the first Sunday of each month from April to October between 10.00am and 2.00pm. So why not visit? If you want to go along on any other Sunday, members can tell you more about the club and how to get started. For more information see or email
