Tickhill Film Society

Tickhill Film Society will be showing feature-length films in Tickhill Parish Room on the third Wednesday of the month, with doors opening at 6.30pm and films starting at 7.00pm. They will be showing the Laurel and Hardy drama ‘Stan And Ollie’ with Steve Coogan and John C Reilly, on Wednesday 20th November. This film will be available to members and guests, who are welcome to attend at £6.00 per film. read more

Worksop Wonders WI

Worksop Wonders WI

2019 has turned out to be a very successful year for Worksop Wonders WI. Membership has increased dramatically, with many new friendships formed. Monthly meetings have featured talks and activities on a wide range of subjects.
At the September meeting members had a demonstration of Tai Chi by Serene Dragon and many people had a go themselves and really enjoyed it. read more

The vintage cinema is back at Carlton in Lindrick Methodist Church and Centre with a Christmas theme and will be a treat for anyone wishing to attend on Tuesday 12th November from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. There will be a feature film with a Christmas theme, newsreels, cartoons and, of course, refreshments will be served in the interval. There will be an optional raffle. There is no charge but any donations to church funds will be most welcome. read more

The November meeting of the North Notts Local Group of Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust will feature a talk by Dr David Parkin entitled ‘Britain’s Seabirds: Threats and Challenges’. This talk was advertised in March but, unfortunately, had to be cancelled. It will focus on the north-east Atlantic Ocean which is home to millions of seabirds; Britain and Ireland play host to some truly magnificent colonies. read more
