Flowers at the Mill
Once again, this year the annual Flowers at the Mill weekend will take place at the Old Water Mill and St Johns Church, Church Lane, Carlton In Lindrick S81 9EH over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday 29th and 30th June.
Flowers at the Mill will feature amazing flower arrangements on show at both The Mill and the Church. In addition to the Mill, the garden of John and Anne Ledger will also be open to the public as in previous years. The theme this year is Song Titles.
In keeping with previous events, all of the proceeds raised will be donated to charity. This year’s chosen charities are The Carlton News, 1st Carlton in Lindrick Scout Group and Carlton In Lindrick Methodist Church Groups. The flowers group decided to support local charities again this year.
In addition to the wonderful display of flowers, there will be contributions from Men in Sheds and the Sewing Magpies will display and sell their wares. Along with this, a well-stocked and ever popular tearoom, for fans of delicious home baked cakes and pastries, will be available. Other popular stalls will include a plant stall, tombola and a craft display.
The event in 2018 raised £2,755.25 shared, between The Aurora Wellbeing Centre and Freed Beeches. Admission is free and the opening times are from 10.00am to 5.00pm on both days.
Donations of cakes, raffle or tombola prizes will gratefully accepted, and should be dropped off at Millside (the Cottage attached to the Mill). Contact Angela on 07918 190383 for further information.
