Exercise, therapy, and fun through horse-riding
Woodside Farm Stables Riding for the Disabled based, in Rainworth, is delighted with the continued support shown for their activities by the Sir John Eastwood Foundation in making a further grant of £5,000 towards the charity’s general running costs in 2019.
Horse riding provides a unique form of exercise and therapy whilst still being fun. So many of the charity’s young disabled clients cannot exercise in any other way. On behalf of the charity, treasurer Winifred Pritchett explained: “Horses are expensive to keep and over 90% of our expenditure each year goes on doing just that. We want the opportunities to be available to everyone and such generous grant funding, together with the dedication of our volunteers, is key to our success in making it affordable. The many grateful comments we receive from our riders prove the effort to be so worthwhile.”
Everyone at Woodside is a volunteer. For more information on how you can join them please contact Winifred at firstname.lastname@example.org or 01623 627974.
