Worksop Wonders WI
If the New Year makes you want to make new friends and have a go at new activates and hobbies, going along to Worksop Wonders WI will be a good start in achieving your aims. This is a warm and welcoming group of ladies who meet at The Crossing on Newcastle Avenue, Worksop on the second Wednesday of each month at 7.00pm.
Members of the group have a varied and extensive array of interests, which is reflected in the wide range of guest speakers they invite to most of their meetings. Last year’s speakers spoke on subjects ranging from stone circles to flower arranging.
The programme for 2019 will be just as varied and is available on Facebook, @realworksopwonders. New members are always welcome. Your first visit is free and you just need to turn up at the meeting. Annual membership is then £42.00 per year, which includes the cost of all the meetings and delivery of the WI Magazine to your home.
The first meeting of 2019 saw a celebration of the group’s seventh birthday and included a line dancing class. The next meeting on 13th February will include a talk about the Autism Spectrum.
