Are you interested in France and all things French? Our meetings take the form of visiting and local speakers, social events and activities and are given in English. We meet in the Tickhill Parish Room at 7.30pm, on the first Wednesday of the month. The annual subscription is £15.00. Non-members are charged £3.00 per meeting but this is refundable if you decide to join. read more

Braithwell Yorkshire Countrywomen Association

Braithwell Countrywomen, along with ladies from Ackworth Branch, travelled to North Yorkshire to celebrate Yorkshire Day. We firstly visited Bedale for coffee, then went on to Tennants Auction House at Leyburn. This involved a look around the various auction lots and we received an excellent presentation by Sue Howard, from the Yorkshire Film Archives, showing various nostalgic short films of past events in Yorkshire. read more

Health-led employment service launches in Rotherham

WorkinWin

South Yorkshire Housing Association have been chosen to run WorkingWin — a NHS approved employment trial throughout South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw. Anyone over 18 with a mental or physical health condition, who is looking for work or who is in work but struggling with their condition can apply to be part of the trial. All meetings will take place at a time and place local to the applicant and there are no costs for those taking part. read more

Life continues to be busy at St Barts

St Bartrholomew's Church Maltby

Life continues to be busy at St Barts! After our patronal festival we are now preparing for the WWI commemorations on 3rd and 4th November, in conjunction with the British Legion in Maltby. The church will be open to visitors over that weekend with an exhibition of World Wars memorabilia and photographs. A special service will be held on Sunday 4th November at 10.45am, please do come and join us. read more

The choir held their end of season charity concert in support of Motor Neurone Disease Association, singing a selection of ‘Music from Stage and Screen’. The choir sang songs from ‘Phantom of the Opera’, ‘Les Misérables’, ‘Aspects of Love’ and ‘Sweet Charity’ and many others. read more
