Bramley Brass Band
Bramley Brass Band took part in a weekend of celebrations as the local community in Bramley village came together to celebrate one hundred years since the end of WWI. The weekend commenced in St Francis’ Church with an evening of music, sketches, and poems.
The band played a selection of music associated with songs from WWI and Bramley Sunnyside School Choir, MINT Performing Arts Academy, local Scouts and Brownies all took part. It was a moving and fitting tribute to mark the centenary of the end of World War One. The band accompanied the singing of the hymns in the Service of Remembrance in St Francis’ Church on Sunday morning and the band led the parade to and from the War Memorial where, despite the rain showers, it was estimated there was around 1,500 plus people.
