Clarborough Church is putting on an event each month, something completely different each time. The last one was the Lammas festival at the end of July, celebrating the ancient festival of the start of the harvest, rather than the end of it, which is usually celebrated during the traditional ‘harvest festival’. read more

Monday 17th July found the members of North and South Wheatley Local History Group in the Village Hall acting as a jury in the case of ‘Inspector Hopkinson’s Discovery’. The guest speaker was author, Ian Morgan who had spent a very long time researching and putting together the story that was to unfold this morning. read more

A very well liked member of the Wednesday (Memory) Group has recently left us to go into permanent, residential care. His rapidly deteriorating physical and mental health, together with his wife’s health problems meant that she was no longer able to give him the care he needed in their own home and the hunt for a suitable care home began. read more
