Aurora Wellbeing Centre in Worksop, is bidding to bag a massive cash boost from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative.
Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its community funding scheme, which sees grants of £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 — raised from carrier bag sales in Tesco stores — being awarded to local community projects. read more

Mayflower WI was formed earlier this year and membership has risen to nearly 30 members. A varied and entertaining programme of speakers and demonstrations has been enjoyed. New friendships have been formed and old acquaintances renewed. There really is something for everyone. read more

The Arts Society Dukeries

St John’s Church, Carlton in Lindrick was busy all day on Thursday 12th October, when classes from both village schools helped launch a new Children’s Trail. The trail was created by a small group of volunteers from The Arts Society Dukeries and comprises a question sheet for the children and an answer sheet for the accompanying adult. It is designed for children aged eight to 12 with the aim of helping the children to look more carefully at the furnishings, fittings, art and history of this beautiful ancient building. read more

The next table top and car boot sale at Sutton cum Lound Village Hall, 38 Town Street, DN22 8PT, will be on Sunday 3rd December, from 10.00am to 1.00pm.  They will be held on the first Sunday of the month thereafter. Refreshments are available as well as a giant tombola and there is free admission and parking for buyers. read more
