Sturton Ward Neighbourhood Development Planning
The process of reviewing and updating Sturton Ward’s 2015 plan continues, with landowners having proposed a number of sites across the ward. Public bodies have now been consulted for their comments and opinions, and the next step will be to make all of this information available to residents in a consultation exercise where residents in each parish will be able to make comments, and say whether they support development, on any or all of the proposed sites in their parish.
The steering group has obtained funding to commission additional professional review of the sites, and they are now just waiting for their report before they arrange public consultation events, probably in August, so keep an eye out in your local newsletters, or on village noticeboards for the dates. You can also visit the Sturton Ward website at www.sturtonward.org.uk/neighbourhood-plan-2019 where dates will also be published, and you will have the opportunity to see the same information and respond to the consultation if you are unable to attend the public events.
If you are interested in finding out more about the process taking place, all the steering group’s meetings are open to the public, and the minutes of meetings, as well as dates of future meetings, can be found on the website.
