Beckingham Gardeners’ Club
On Monday 18th March, members of Beckingham Gardeners’ Club and visitors took a photographic trip around the Scottish Highlands and Isles, with Chris and Geoff Trinder. Geoff is passionate about his photography and showed many stunning photographs of lots of the local plants and wildlife. Geoff also had many humorous tales to tell which caused a great deal of hilarity from members. A very good evening was had by all.
Future meetings include:
- 20th May — Sandra Bright — My BBC Big Allotment Challenge
- 17th June — Julie Clark — All about growing British Flowers
- 15th July — Garden Visit — Pam Tatum’s, Harpswell
- 17th August — Garden Club Annual Show — Beckingham Village Hall, 2.00pm.
The Garden Club would like some new members, so if you are interested in gardening, the environment or related subjects why not join them? They are a small club and visitors will be made very welcome. As well as talks from interesting gardeners and naturalists, members like to socialise and have organised trips to gardens and places of gardening interest during the summer months. The subscription fee is only £10.00 a year, £15.00 for a family.
