Gainsborough Lions

Gainsborough Lions have had a busy time with fundraising events throughout 2018 — the Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Egg Raffles at various pubs in the town, Independent Traders’ Day, Halloween Day in the Market Square, Christmas Light Switch On, Christmas Charity Market, Christmas Raffle Elm Cottage, Breakfast with Santa and a Christmas Hamper Raffle at Adams Bay.

The club would like to thank Adams Bay, Elm Cottage, Black Horses Blyton, White Swan Torksey, The Blues Club, Horse and Jockey, Eight Jolly Brewers, Ship Inn Morton, Half Moon Willingham, Barron Bou Ltd, Morrisons and Horsleys for generous support with all these events.

This has made it possible for Gainsborough Lions to support Disability Network with funding for a trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, the local brownies with funding for transport to a special camp, a dishwasher donated to GAPA and to supply a number of gifts for the pensioners Christmas lunch at Gainsborough House. The club also holds, each year, a two-day collection on behalf of Marie Curie. Once again, many thanks to all who have supported the club through the year and thanks also to people of Gainsborough for your generosity.
